I would like to express on behalf of the social democratic parliamentary group in the city council in Kiel our sense of shock at the violence in Norway.

The city of Kiel in Northern Germany as the gateway to the north has a particular closeness to Norway, not only due to the ferry connections to Oslo. Many people from Kiel spend their holidays in Norway and have made friends there. Our thoughts and condolences are with the victims, their loved ones and our social democratic comrades. sgd. Die Stadt Kiel als Tor zum Norden fühlt sich besonders verbunden mit Norwegen, nicht nur wegen der Fährverbindungen nach Oslo. Viele Kielerinnen und Kieler verbringen ihren Urlaub in Norwegen und haben Freundschaften geschlossen.
